When are elections held to elect the Mayor and members of City Council?

• The City of Bevil Oaks conducts its General Election every year in November. Each term is held for 2 years, with each Ward having someone up for election every year.

How long are the terms for Mayor and Council?

• The Mayor and the Council have two-year terms
• Every other year the Mayor and one councilman for each Ward are up for election 
• The following year the other three Council are up for election

I.E. of the current Mayor and Council in 2025, the Mayor, Ward 1 Councilman Merendino, Ward 2 Councilman Clayton & Ward 3 Councilman Thibodeaux are up for election.

In 2026, Ward 1 Councilman Mannette, Ward 2 Councilwoman Cramer & Councilman Wright will be up for election

Whomever gets elected in 2025, will have a two-year term that will expire in 11/2027.
