2026 General Elections
All positions, with the exception of the unexpired term for Ward Two, will be two year terms that will expire in November of 2028
For 2026, the positions that will expire are as follows:
Ward One: Currently held by Roger Mannette
Ward Two Expired Term: Currently held by Don Smith
Ward Two Unexpired Term (will expire November 2027): Position is currently vacant
Ward Three: Currently held by Jim Wright

When are elections held to elect the Mayor and members of City Council?
- The City of Bevil Oaks conducts its General Election every year in November. Each term is held for 2 years, with each Ward having someone up for election every year.
How long are the terms for Mayor and Council?
- The Mayor and the Council have two-year terms
- Every other year the Mayor and one councilman for each Ward are up for election
- The following year the other three Council are up for election
- You can only apply for a Council position for the ward that you live in. The only position that is NOT ward-specific, is the Mayor.
I.E. In 2025, the Mayor, Ward 1 Councilman Merendino, Ward 2 Councilman Clayton & Ward 3 Councilman Thibodeaux were up for election.
In 2026, Ward 1 Councilman Mannette, Ward 2 Councilman Smith & Ward 3 Councilman Wright will be up for election
Those elected in 2026, have a two-year term that will expire in 11/2028.
