Frequently Asked Questions

Notice that a DD6 ditch isn't maintained?

DD6 does a fantastic job at making sure that their ditches are flowing properly and that they are maintained as often as possible.

The DD6 ditches are on the map attached to the top of the page.

If you notice that there is a DD6 ditch that is not maintained, please contact City Hall so that it can be addressed. However, most of the time if you find one of their ditches not maintained, it is due to not having a big enough easement to maintain it. The equipment that DD6 uses to maintain their ditches is large, so it may take a larger easement than what they have for them to be able to maintain the ditch properly. Giving DD6 a larger easement does NOT mean that you are giving them your property. Giving them a larger easement just means that you are giving them more room to maintain the ditch. The property still belongs to you.
